Artur Barros & Sousa, Lda. was founded in 1890 by Pedro José Lomelino although before that he was used to produced Madeira wine.
This beautiful one has a deep orange color with intense aroma of curry, dried figs, nuts and lots of “vinagrinho”.
Barbeito is nowadays one of the fewest producers of Madeira wine and it’s at the same time co-shared with a japanese company. As many of you know, Barbeito usually produce Madeira wines which provide us more acidity and that’s what we can find also in this wine.
Sercial’s 1988 has a deep yellow greenish color full of richness from the aromatic complexity. Dried frutis, herbs, honey, tea, resid and iodine. It’s taste is very dry and Sercial wines used to be with powerfull complexity and presistence.
Beautiful Bastardo from the ancient Adega do Torreão. Deep brownish color with a complex aroma of dried fruits, “vinagrinho”, iodine, resin and light honey.
From a producer already vanished from the actual wine companies of Madeira wine, this Boal Solera is an incredible wine. Beautiful dark ambar color. Figs, dried fruits, iodine and resin intense aroma. And what a persistence. Great!!!
